Pick up a reading journal to track your reading and earn prizes! The best time to claim prizes is at our Thursday events and afternoons in the Children's Room. A library card is not needed to attend or sign up for any events. For the latest information on events be sure to check our Events page!

Lots of fun for ages 10-14
Teen Book Club
Teen Book Club, for ages 10-14, will meet from 1-2 pm every Tuesday in the library’s young adult area. Naomi McDowell will lead discussions and activities about two novels by Gary D. Schmidt: The Wednesday Wars and Okay for Now. Participants will get copies of the book at the first meeting.

Learn about storyboards and illustrating graphic novels for ages 12 to 17
Get Graphic Comic Drawing Academy
Get Graphic Comic Drawing Academy will meet from 2:30-4 pm every Tuesday in the library’s Community Room. Teens ages 12-17 will get to work side by side with comic artist Stan Freitag, learning drawing techniques and the comic book art form.

The Knights of Veritas
Arms, armor, combat knighthood, and chivalry of the middle ages with Knights of Veritas.
June 20th @ 4pm
Earn your invitation to the after-hours party by completing and turning in your reading journal.
Grand Finale Party
The final day to turn in reading journals for prizes is Wednesday, August 12. Readers who complete at least 20 hours of reading and turn in their completed reading journals before the library close that day will be invited to the Summer Reading Program Grand Finale After-Hours Party, which will be held on Thursday, August 13, at the library.
