Recruiting for Trees & Trails Advisory Committee

The City of Lebanon invites interested persons to apply for several seats on the newly established Lebanon Trees & Trails Advisory Committee. Candidates must reside within the Lebanon city limits and have an interest in promoting and preserving trees and/or creating and maintaining safe bicycle and pedestrian routes.

The Committee provides input and makes recommendations to the City Council concerning street trees and bicycle and pedestrian trails, grant opportunities, safety awareness, and advises on use of funding resources.

Committee members will meet during the day, up to 10 times per year, and receive no compensation.

Term: Since this is a newly established committee, terms will be staggered in the beginning with some members serving a two-year term while other members serve a three-year term.

Selection Process: Staff will review all applications and submit a written recommendation for the Mayor's consideration. All applicants will be notified of the results by August 1. The chosen applicants will be appointed by the Mayor at the August 8, 2018 Lebanon City Council Meeting.
